Well, when you get down to it, digital marketing is simply marketing. We are online so much that “Google” has become an adjective (a doing word) rather than a noun. How often do you catch yourself ‘Googling’ something you need to know or want to find?

The first rule of marketing is to make the right offer at the right time and in the right place. The right place is online. Your ideal customer is hanging out on social media, getting updates on news sites and blogs and searching via Google and Bing. Once you know your Ideal Customer and how you solve a major problem in their life, the next step is so much easier.

We have the attention span of less than a goldfish, and while only 2% of us can effectively multi-task 98% of us do it constantly when online. For this reason your ideal customer needs to see or hear you 22 times before they start to have some form of brand recognition.

It’s all about consistency with your social media & digital presence as we inch closer to 2020. Find your sweet spot, both in the platform where your audience lives (your ideal customer) and your topics of authority where you have a standout, unique perspective to stand on and build from (your creative niche), and then commit to an ongoing appearance. Be creative with whatever you do, and commit to consistently showing up. It’ll make all the difference.
